Chronic Connections: Finding Strength in Shared Journeys
Living with chronic illness can feel isolating — but you don’t have to navigate it alone. We welcome you to a space where you'll find understanding and build meaningful connections with others who truly get it. A collective where individuals with chronic conditions will come together to share, listen, and heal in community.
Chronic Connections is a 6-week therapist-led process group for adults living with chronic illness. The group will be a safe space for folks to process the often invisible experience of living with chronic illness. It's a chance for clients to connect, process, and feel a little less alone in navigating life with long term medical conditions. No diagnosis is required to join the group.
Together we'll:
Share our stories and struggles without judgment
Learn tools for resilience, boundaries, and self-compassion
Reclaim agency and identity beyond illness
Support each other in the ups and downs of everyday life
Group will be facilitated by Becca Leifer, LCMHC (of Half Moon Mental Health and Wellness) and Anna Vargas, LCMHC, who both have lived and professional experience managing the mental health impact of life with chronic illness. All clients will attend a brief prescreening to ensure goodness of fit, and those clients who do not already have a therapist and are at risk for suicidality, or have current or domestic violence occurring will be encouraged to connect for alternative services.
